Objective:
To create a distinctive kitchen with a style to match their turn of the century Tudor home.
The Challenge:
The clients wanted a feeling of spaciousness without expanding the size of the room.
The Solution:
A new multipurpose peninsula incorporates concealed storage and a charging station, television alcove, upper display cabinet, and seating for four. The cooking area was relocated to the corner to allow the custom antiquated copper hood to become the focal point of the room. The paint and glaze combination of the cabinetry finish gives the look of an aged antique wood. To create a more airy feeling, the back door entry was widened by replacing the oversized refrigerator with a cabinet depth one and moving it further from the back door entrance. Recessed can lighting, under cabinet illumination, and decorative wall sconces were the perfect finish to create a warm glow for this newly designed space!
